We guarantee a room in our Halls of Residence for all new full-time, first year students starting with us in September 2024 who apply and accept their room offer by the date that applies to status. See the details for home and international applicants below.”

The Universities recognise the significant challenges families are facing due to the rising cost of living, and we won’t be asking students joining in September 2024 to pay an upfront accommodation deposit when reserving a place in Halls of Residence.
If you are a UK student and hold a conditional or unconditional Firm offer of a course place at the University, and will contact you by email to invite you to apply for a place in Halls (this will usually be from March before you are due to start your studies). Accommodation application details will be sent to you once you have accepted your offer on your UCAS Hub and we have received your tuition fee deposit. You will need to register for the accommodation portal and then make your application.
Firm choice applicants need to apply and accept their room offer by 29 July 2024*. Clearing and Insurance choice applicants need to apply and accept their room offer by 23 August 2024* for you to be eligible for the guarantee. This is 8 days after the publication of A level and other results on 15 August.
